Prior to that, I was involved for many years helping run our family business until it was sold in 2003. I started my career in the business as a class "A" licensed mechanic and worked my way into becoming the service manager. I ran the shop independently for more than 10 years when I was moved into the office after my father "retired" in 1993.

At that time, my duties included:

  • Helping to run the day-to-day operations from a managerial position
  • Helping to develop custom computer programs
  • Public relations
  • Negotiating with clients
  • Producing the companies bi-weekly newsletter
  • Developing training courses and delivering them

Strategy:

  • Offer that "personalized" service that is sometimes forgotten in our hi-paced, hi-tech society
  • Work with individuals and groups to collectively develop an attractive and functional website
  • Offer continued updating and/or enhancements to their website as required
  • Finally, to please the customer
